ASMR can improve the mood of 80% of people and a new study from Romans International, has uncovered the ultimate sounds for the discerning motorheads among us.
Launching ASMCar, Romans analysed 30 of the “top sounding” supercars, exploring their sounds on startup, when idle, accelerating, at full throttle and on downshift, using AI to describe the sounds in which they’re producing.
These were then bucketed into four categories; cultured, fine-tuned, power and raw. And it was the Paganis and the Lamborghinis of this world that came out on top.
The top five sounding supercars:
- Pagani Zonda R
- Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
- Pagani Zonda Cinque
- McLaren P1
- Lamborghini Essenza SCV12
Based upon the most commonly used descriptive words across our entire study, and where they are used the most, combined with maximum dB, RPM and engine size, the Zonda R claims the prize as the best for ASMR with its explosive bark, while it is joined by the Zonda Cinque in third place, sandwiched between the Lamborghini Murcielago and Essenza, with the McLaren P1 also in that mix.
