Fixing Britain’s Broken Jobs Market: JobAdder Launches Adder Intelligence, Challenging the AI Hype with a Prompt-Free ‘Recruiter-First’ Platform” – Targeting £1.1B AI Recruitment Market

A world first for recruiters – this Hiring AI promises powerfully simple, intuitive AI that delivers results from day one, cutting recruiter admin time by up to 60% and speeding hiring decisions from days to minutes.

JobAdder, today launches Adder Intelligence, a new artificial intelligence capability that marks a major shift in how modern recruiters work and how people get hired. It automates candidate screening and database management – without extra clicks, prompts, or workflow changes.

With Smart Summary, recruiters can rapidly shortlist quality candidates, while Smart Sync ensures candidate databases remain accurate and up to date – all running silently in the background. The result: faster, more accurate hiring decisions and up to 60% time saved using AI.

While the market is flooded with AI solutions promising transformation – adoption remains low. Most tools are poorly designed – complex ‘tech-first’ platforms that over-promise, under-deliver, and force recruiters to change how they work.

Built on JobAdder’s renowned DNA of usability, Adder Intelligence takes a transparent, ‘recruiter-first’ approach. It works seamlessly inside the JobAdder platform, handling the heavy lifting so recruiters can focus on building candidate and client relationships. Designed for immediate impact, it avoids steep learning curves.

With the UK employment market facing mounting pressure – vacancies have been below pre-pandemic levels, with over two candidates competing for every role – recruiters must hire quickly while managing growing administrative workloads. Adder Intelligence helps hiring teams meet this challenge, enabling faster, higher-quality hires and giving organisations a competitive edge.

JobAdder Chief Executive Martin Herbst said: “The hype around AI in recruitment is deafening, but results for most agencies have been disappointing. Recruiters are being asked to deliver more with less, but so far they’ve been sold over-engineered, ‘black box AI’ that adds complexity rather than solving it. They’re overwhelmed with tools that are difficult to use and fail to deliver.

“Recruiters shouldn’t have to talk to their tools. Adder Intelligence handles the heavy lifting – analysing, learning and surfacing insights automatically, so they can focus on hiring people, not managing software.

“Our mission is to simplify recruitment and empower recruiters to build more human connections. Adder Intelligence is our answer: powerfully simple AI that delivers results on day one. Candidates benefit too, with faster responses, fairer decisions, and richer human interaction.

“This isn’t just another AI feature; it’s our philosophy embedded in code. We’ve built it to be simple, empowering, and purposeful. We want to keep the recruiter in control, not the algorithm.”

Joel Delmaire, Chief Product Officer at JobAdder, a leading AI recruitment expert, said this launch represents the next stage in practical, human-centred automation:

“We’re entering a new era of AI – one that is  powerful, simple, specialised and genuinely useful,” Delmaire said. “Recruiters don’t need to prompt or configure it. The intelligence works behind the scenes, helping them make faster, smarter hiring decisions.”

Rewriting the rules of recruitment without lifting a finger

Its first release includes two key capabilities aimed at cutting manual admin and improving decision-making from day one.

  • Smart Summary: removes the need to jump between resumes, applications and notes to understand a candidate’s fit. It compiles everything a recruiter needs, from their history with the agency to key details matching the role, into a single, clean summary. It even provides a simple recommendation on match strength, helping recruiters quickly see who to prioritise and progress.
  • Smart Sync: ensures a recruiter’s most valuable asset, their candidate database, stays accurate and complete. Adder Intelligence analyses unstructured data such as notes and activities, identifies gaps or inconsistencies in profiles, and recommends updates, maintaining high-quality records without extra data entry.

Adder Intelligence will be rolled out to customers from 13th November 2025.

A roadmap for the future of recruitment: An industry under pressure

With its tagline, “Powerfully simple AI that delivers results on day one,” the company is looking to take a larger slice of the £1.1B UK AI recruitment technology market with the launch of Adder Intelligence.

The launch comes as recruiters contend with rising workloads and growing candidate volumes. According to JobAdder’s latest State of Recruitment report:

  • Candidate applications in the UK have surged +42% year-on-year
  • 43% UK recruiters report it’s taking them longer to fill placements
  • Job creation per agency in the UK is down -3.4% compared with this time last year

The company has also recently unveiled three new recruiter plans – Recruiter Lite, Recruiter Essential and Recruiter Pro –  designed to support agencies at every stage, helping them streamline workflows and significantly reduce manual tasks.

Herbst confirmed this was just the first step in an ambitious roadmap, designed to continue empowering customers with predictive insights and deeper automation. Built on the JobAdder DNA of usability and trust, future releases are already in development to further support recruiters.
