London – 29 October 2025: Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll software for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced the launch of Sage Expenses for Sage 50 Accounts in the UK. Built in partnership with Findity, the leading provider in embedded expense management, the solution simplifies expense management for small businesses, saving time, reducing admin, and removing the stress of chasing receipts, approvals, and manual entry.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in how small businesses operate, as intelligent software powered by AI replaces manual tasks with streamlined, automated workflows.

Sage Expenses empowers small businesses, many still wrestling with outdated processes, with a smarter, more efficient way to manage business expenses. From capture to reimbursement, it automates the entire process, provides real-time visibility into costs, and frees up valuable time for teams to focus on growth.

By bridging the gap between the front-end employee experience and the back-end financial process, the solution eliminates inefficiencies that have long made expense management error-prone and time consuming. Available via a connector app for Sage 50 Accounts  the new capability offers a seamless experience with minimal setup required.

“For far too long, small businesses have been burdened by outdated, manual expense processes,” said Jonathan Cowan, EVP HR&P and Sage Platform at Sage. “They need tools that simplify everyday tasks, reduce friction, and free up time to focus on customers, not admin. With Sage Expenses built into the software they already trust, expense management becomes faster, easier, and far less stressful. This partnership is part of our strategy to modernise financial workflows for SMBs, combining automation, simplicity, and AI-powered intelligence to deliver real impact.”

Key benefits for businesses:

  • All-in-one expense solution – combines expense claims, card connections, entertainment, per diems and mileage, in a single product
  • Time savings and reduced admin – mobile-first capture and automated workflows eliminate manual data entry
  • Real-time visibility into expenses – enables monitoring of expense status and patterns to support budgeting and informed decision-making
  • Built-in compliance – automatically aligned with UK tax regulations to keep teams on track and tax-ready
  • Faster approvals, less manual work – intelligent workflows replace spreadsheets, reducing approval times and administrative burden
  • Mobile expense capture – allows receipts to be photographed and claims submitted instantly via a user-friendly mobile interface

“We know firsthand that expense management has been a significant drain on time and resources for small businesses,” said Patrick Olsson, CEO at Findity. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with Sage. Together, we’re delivering a solution that makes managing expenses simple, fast, and stress-free, removing common barriers and freeing up time for the work that moves the business and their employees forward.”

Sage Expenses is currently in early adopter rollout in the UK through November, with full general availability planned for early 2026. The solution will also enter early adopter rollout in Germany, Spain, France, and Portugal by the end of 2026 across more of Sage’s SMB product portfolio. Designed to help small businesses save time, reduce stress, and operate more efficiently, it ultimately enables them to compete more effectively and achieve sustainable growth.
